Conducting & Musical Direction

Colin has worked widely and prolifically as a conductor, musical director, associate and supervisor on a variety of projects across the UK.  He is equally experienced and adept at conducting or directing from the keyboard in a wide range of musical styles.

Lend Me A Tenor - the musical

Colin has been involved with this project since early 2010 as UK production musical director for the London workshop, and subsequent productions at Theatre Royal, Plymouth, and the Gielgud Theatre, London.  Director Ian Talbot, Choreographer Randy Skinner, Musical supervisor Paul Gemignani..


Colin returned to the Playhouse Theatre, Weston Super Mare for the second year running to act as musical director for the PHA production of Cinderella starring Kelle Bryan and directed and choreographed by David Samuels.Colin also produced the backing tracks and arranged the music for the production.

Christmas with the Salvation Army

For the third year Colin was invited by the Salvation Army to work with them as musical director and arranger for their seasonal concert at the Royal Albert Hall.  Colin worked with artistic director Graham Hubbard to arrange and orchestrate music for the concert and acted as musical director for those items at the performance.

City of Angels

Colin was engaged as musical director for the London School of Musical Theatre's production of this rarely performed work, with a fantastic score by Cy Coleman.

The production was staged at the Bridewell Theatre, London in May 2010 and directed by Graham Hubbard.


Colin was musical director and arranger/orchestrator for number one UK tour of Stephen Schwarz's musical.    Colin's arrangements brought a new treatment to some numbers and a new orchestration for a 5 piece band.  The production was directed by Paul Kerryson.  For the second half of the tour Colin acted as musical supervisor.

West Side Story

Colin was invited to the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. to act as musical director for this production of Bernstein's classic musical.  Colin worked with both student actors and musicians over a period of six weeks and conducted the orchestra of twenty nine players for the two weeks of performances.  Director Paul Kerryson.
